Special Info for your furry little friends    

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF OPERATION?

Special Care requires long hours and constant supervision. We are open for customers from 9am until 7pm, every single day during holidays. We start walking guests before 8am, and can provide an early check-in, but you must remember that if you show up between 8am and 9am, you may have to wait for some time while we get our guests out and around after a cozy night.  We are frequently here earlier and later, checking on our guests, but only allow pick-ups and drop-offs during our normal hours. On holiday weekends we have someone here 24 hours a day to take care of guests that require medical or special care.  During Beach season we have earlier check-ins on Saturdays.  In emergencies, we can arrange drop-off or pick-up of your pet 24 hours a day, for an additional $50 charge.

WHAT ARE YOUR FACILITIES LIKE?

The Ultimate Pet Resort is currently upgrading our rooms so we can make sure we continue to have North Carolina's most state of the art facilities. Right now each guest has a separate area, where they are housed on a custom tile floor. Carpets and pads are available, or you may bring your pets' own bedding for us to put in their room. Animals ARE NEVER EVER put in cages.  Dogs always have an open area above them where they may look out and view their surroundings.

Climate controlled and meticulously cleaned, no other facility provides such perfectly maintained premises.  We have invested more than $100,000 in our facility over the past ten years. And we are working everyday to make it better.

We can house 65 guests and now have several SUPER LARGE CONDOS for Great Danes, Mastiffs, and other large breeds. Additionally, we have TWO puppy playgrounds. Guests will get plenty of play time and exercise if their owner allows it.

WHERE ARE YOU?

We are located on 450 Robeson Street, in Fayetteville, and conveniently located five minutes from I-95, and one minute from the intersection of the 401 Bypass (CBD Loop) and Robeson Street. We are two minutes from City Hall, the Airborne and Special Operations Museum, and Highsmith Rainy Hospital. We are across the street from Hubbard Pipe and Supply and next to Mayflower Moving.

Traveling north or south on I-95, we are right on your way.  If you are heading to the either the Raleigh Airport or Fayetteville Airport, we are but a short five minute detour.  Look for the pawprint on our building.

DO YOUR GUESTS GET WALKED?

Not only do they get to exercise in the indoor playrooms, but at least four times a day your furry little friend will get a lengthy walk on our outdoor grass area.  We strive to carry on all of the proud traditions set in place over the last 14 years and work hard to live up to the standard of care we set for American Pet Resorts. They also play in our two playgrounds on a regular basis.  We have built a special entrance so we can now walk them out the back in a park.

HOW DO YOU HANDLE MEDICAL PROBLEMS?

We administer your medicine, to your specifications. While emergencies are very rare indeed, we do have procedures in place for handling them. For small emergencies we have certified vet techs on call 24-hours a day. For more serious emergencies we are ten minutes from Animal Urgent Care's 24 hour medical facility. During normal business hours we use Ambassador Animal Hospital. We are also "in tune" with our guests psychological needs.

WHAT DO MEDICAL RECORDS DO I NEED?

We will need proof that your pet has all their shots up to date. You can bring in the vet records, or have your vet fax them to us at 910-483-5507.  Once they are on file with us we will update them with your vet as needed. We will have a quarantine section opening in late 2009 for animals coming from overseas.

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU TELL ME?

We have two brand new indoor playgrounds open. Our newest pet playground is 3000 square foot complete with doggie jungle gyms, tunnels, and our non-skid epoxy floor.
