Insuring the
emotional well-being of our guests
We believe
in certain things that other kennels don't believe in.
One of those things is the visitation of our guests in
their rooms.

We DO NOT believe
in keeping you out of the boarding area, and any kennel
that says "you can't go back there because of our
insurance" is full of baloney. There is no such
clause in kennel insurance policies, it is just a way to
keep customers from inspecting the kennels at anytime, or
ever, or from close inspection. That WON'T ever happen at
the Ultimate Pet Resort. We want you to check out our
guest rooms. But, even more than that, we want you turn
down the covers for your pet. And, like the Hyatt Hotel,
you can be sure we'll leave a biscuit on their bed at
bedtime.
This is Toby and Sandy with their Mom. She set up their
rooms with their beds, all their toys, and their treats
and bowls. One of the things we really encourage, are
owners going back to the room during guest check-in.
There are many reasons for this, most of them psychological, for both the owner and the guest.
It lets
you feel more comfortable knowing where they are
sleeping, and insuring the room is up to ours, and your,
high standards. But, also, it makes them feel more
comfortable. By going into their room you accomplish
several things, most importantly, you leave your
scent, and scents are important to the little guys.
Additionally, your pet sees you setting up their room and
laying out their toys, they feel very comfortable in
knowing that you put them there, and you are coming back.

We will know exactly how you like your pet's bed or toys
laid out, and we will insure that the room remains that
way during their stay. This is Bear and his Mom again. Mrs. Rhodes and her husband just moved here from Fort
Benning after he graduated OCS. She visits Bear while
their family looks for a new house after just moving to
Fort Bragg.
We understand that
often there are time restraints and other considerations
that will prevent you from spending time in the room, or
setting it up with us. Don't worry about that, just try
to find a minute to take a quick walk back there,
especially if its your first time at the Ultimate Pet
Resort, we'll take care of the rest.

Other
Considerations-
We have found that sometimes,
when guests stay for long periods of times, and rare
instances, even for a week or so, they might become
depressed or express anxiety by becoming unruly,
destructive, or by biting. One of the things we do at the
Ultimate Pet Resort is carefully monitor your pet for
emotional trauma or psychological changes. Almost all of
the time we have found that there are simple solutions.
As an example, in almost every case where a guest has
become irritable or destructive, all we have to do is
move them to a new kennel, give them a new change of
scenery, and allow them to hang out in the office with us
or walk around freely in the guest room hallways. They
get to check out their surroundings, sniff the other
guests doors and identify the other resort guests. This
is a lot more work for us, since we have to completely
sterilize a room when a guests leaves or changes rooms,
but it works wonders for their emotional well-being, and that
is what the Ultimate Pet Resort is all about. We
also increase playtimes, give them new toys, and/or move
the little guests up into the small office kennels for a
day or more (our new area has see through front doors that allow our
guests to see a staff
member almost 16 hours per day).
